Casey is a personal scheduling assistant that integrates with your calendar to plan your week around what is already in it. Casey is made by the Happy Little Apps team, based in New South Wales, Australia. This policy explains what Casey collects, what it does with it, who else sees it, and how you remove it. Questions go to support@happylittle.app.
When you sign in, you grant Casey access to:
From each Google Calendar event on the calendars you choose, Casey stores its title (an untitled event is stored as "Busy"), start and end times, location, organiser's email address, whether it shows you as free or busy, and your own response to it. Casey does not store an event's description or its list of attendees.
Casey uses your data only to plan your week and keep your calendar up to date: to see when you are free, to place your tasks in suitable times, to move them when your week changes, and, with travel times on, to allow for the trip to an event.
Casey does not sell your data. Casey never uses data from Google, or anything derived from it, for advertising. Nobody at Casey reads your Google data unless you ask us to, for example to look into a problem you report, or where it is needed for security or to comply with the law.
Casey does not transfer, sell or use data from Google to create, train or improve a machine learning or artificial intelligence model, beyond your own personalised model for a feature Casey shows you. For example, Casey may learn that you often move Gym to 2pm, and uses that only to plan your own weeks.
The use of information received from Google Workspace scopes will adhere to the Google User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
A group event is one an organiser sets up for several people, who each say when they are free; Casey books a night when enough of them can make it. Everyone in a group event sees, for each other member:
No member ever sees what is on another member's calendar or what their events are called; Casey names the event that clashes with a night only to the person whose calendar it is on. When a night is booked, Casey adds the members to the organiser's Google Calendar event, and Google sends each of them its invitation, which shows the email address of everyone invited.
You can join a group event from its invitation link without signing in. Casey then stores:
The other members see these as described under Group events, apart from your email address, which appears only in Google's invitation. To remove them, choose Leave this event at the foot of the event's page. That deletes your place and your times, and your name and email address too unless you are in another Casey event. Or email support@happylittle.app.
Casey uses these service providers, each of which handles your data only to provide its service to Casey:
Casey's database and servers are in Australia.
Casey encrypts the tokens Google gives it for your account, with a key kept apart from the database, and uses them only to reach the Google services you allowed. Addresses Casey looks up for travel times are kept in a cache that is not linked to any user, for at most 30 days.
When this policy changes, we update this page and the date at the top. If a change affects how Casey uses your data, Casey shows a notice in the app before the change applies.
